As an IT software and services company, Mastek belongs to an inherently non-polluting industry. Neither the company's products nor their production process generate any industrial waste or emissions. Regulations governing air pollution are not applicable to the context in which the company operates. There is no cause for water pollution by the company either. Even so, Mastek takes care to avoid any kind of environmental pollution through its actions.
Within its workplaces, Mastek uses furniture and equipment products that are standard and branded, and which comply with environment-friendly specifications. Computers no longer in use at its workplaces are donated to charity organizations. Waste paper generated by the company is recycled and used in the manufacture of notepads for rough work, which are then either circulated for use within the company or provided to charity organizations.
Gardens, plants and greenery are essential elements of the company's facility planning. The company's workplaces are located in SEEPZ, Mumbai and the Millennium Business Park at Mahape. Mastek ensures proper upkeep and maintenance of the surroundings of these workplaces. It actively participates in the initiatives taken by the SEEPZ and MIDC (Mahape) authorities to protect and enhance greenery in these locations.
Mastek is a part of the Planet Partner Program initiated by Hewlett-Packard (HP) for environment-friendly recycling solutions for printer cartridges.
The Mastek Foundation also extends support and spreads awareness about issues relating to the environment.
