Customer centric policy administration system helps in speedy launch of hybrid products The client is one of the leading health cash plan and personal medical plan providers in the UK. The company had three separate brands, each with their own business processes and systems.

The client needed a unified system to manage all their products, and one that was flexible in meeting their aggressive growth plans.

The client chose Mastek's proven Elixir Policy Administration system as its strategic platform (which they later called PULSE) for health products, because of its ability to support cash plans, critical illness and personal accident.

In addition, Elixir provided the flexibility to diversify into new lines of business such as PMI and ASU.

The core design is customer-centric, and the entire system has been designed with the customer as prime entity as opposed to a largely policy-centric approach in the legacy system. This flexible product structure enables the client to mix and match benefits enabling a speedy launch of hybrid products. A key benefit of PULSE, is an integrated workflow system which endows the capability to manage individual tasks to each user. The web enabled intuitive user-interface delivers improved efficiencies for staff to administer and service policies.

The system will administer policies to over two million customers and provide the client with a competitive edge.
