E-scholarship project brings revolution in Social Justice Department – Chief Minister, Maharashtra
"E-scholarship project brings revolution in Social Justice Department and it will save lot of man power, time and money for the Department." said Chief Minister, Pruthviraj Chavan.
He was inaugurating E-scholarship on-line application for Satara District for distributing post matric scholarship and tuition fees to the backward class students at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai on 2nd February 2011. Deputy Chief minister Ajit Pawar, Minister for Forest Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Minister for Social Justice Mr. Shivajirao Moghe, Minister of state for Social Justice Mr. Sachin Ahir, Chief Secretary Mr. Ratnakar Gaikwad were also present.
Chief Minister congratulated Social Justice Department for this revolutionary step and told to implement this system effectively by ironing out shortcomings in the software, if any. He also told other departments like Tribal, Minority, Higher & Technical Education etc. to have a look at this system so that the same can be implemented for them.
Under this ambitious project which will be implemented across the entire state in next one month, the maintenance amount of the students will be directly credited to their bank accounts and tuition fees will be directly credited to bank accounts of their respective colleges.
Mastek team has designed, developed and delivered the solution within the stipulated budget and time. Mastek has also provided local technical support in each of 35 districts and 7 divisions to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the system.
