Leadership at Mastek

      John Owen

      John Owen

      Group CEO

      John leads the growth strategy at Mastek and has over two decades of sales and marketing experience.

      He has previously held senior leadership roles in global blue-chips such as HP, Nortel and Serco, as well as successful start-ups such as Sycamore Networks. Prior to Mastek, John was the Sales and Marketing Director for Serco where his responsibilities included handling Serco’s largest customer, the UK Government.

      Abhishek Singh

      Abhishek Singh

      Group CFO

      As Group Chief Financial Officer, Abhishek oversees multiple functions globally including Finance, Investor Relationships, IT, Facilities and Infrastructure.

      He has two decades of experience in the Information Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services and BPM industries across both India and the United States, including organisations like First Source Solutions and Tech Mahindra (then Mahindra-British Telecom).

      Dennis is responsible for ensuring Mastek retains its global competitiveness. He underpins our strategic goal to be a leader in Enterprise Digital transformation by leading our customer delivery and engineering teams as well as developing our future innovative capabilities.

      Prior to Mastek Dennis led Fujitsu’s European Services Division, an organisation of over 10,000 people with annual revenues over £2 billion. He was also CEO of GlobeRanger (a Fujitsu company) and brings over 20 years of experience successfully selling and delivering complex IT services projects across the globe.

      Chief Growth Officer, UK

      Laura drives the growth agenda in the UK by leading business development, sales and marketing to secure Mastek's position as digital transformation partner of choice.

      Laura brings a diverse background and extensive expertise in the IT services industry, having led a variety of transformational growth functions and initiatives at Samsung, HPE, EDS, CSC and Parity.

      Maninder Kapoor Puri

      Maninder Kapoor Puri

      Group Chief People Officer

      Maninder is Group Chief People Officer, overseeing all aspects of HR practices and operations in order to meet the needs of the constantly evolving business – facilitating strategic planning and initiatives, change management and organisational design.

      Prior to Mastek, she held global human resource roles in organisations such as First Source Solutions, ICICI OneSource, Accenture and iGate Solutions.

      In a career spanning more than 2 decades, Vikram has been instrumental in driving growth in the Software Products and Services sector including leadership roles at Datamatics, MAIA Intelligence, Oracle and Data Systems International.

      Raman is responsible for driving growth in the US market which Mastek re-entered two years ago via the acquisition of TAISTech Inc. Raman brings a wealth of experience from his role at Sasken Technologies where he was Executive Vice-President and General Manager, Digital Services.

      Previous to this he held senior positions at Dell Services and Wipro and has a proven track record building large scale businesses with tier one customers.

          Choices we made over the last 35+ years are shaping who we are today.

          1982

          Incorporated on 14 May 1982 as Management and Software Technology Private Limited, a business designing and delivering computer software by Indian Institute of Management students Ashank Desai, Ketan Mehta and R. Sundar. They were later joined by Sudhakar Ram

          1982

          First project went live: a decision-support system to generate an optimised production plan for Vicks Vaporub in India

          1992

          Name changed to Mastek. Mastek acquired Carter Cast Systems, a UK IT company, in order to establish a UK footprint in Theale

          1992

          Listed on the Mumbai Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India

          1992

          US subsidiary founded: MajescoMastek

          1995

          Engaged by Capita in the bid process for the London Congestion Charging (LCC) scheme. LCC went live in 2003, at the time the world’s largest .NET project

          2000

          First IT Solutions company worldwide to be assessed at P-CMM Level 3

          2002

          Mastek Foundation formed as the Corporate and Social Responsibility wing of Mastek and Majesco Ltd, with a mission of ‘Informed Giving, Responsible Receiving'

          2003

          Engaged by BT Global Services to work on the UK National Health Service programme (Spine), a central messaging and data warehousing system to hold summary health records of all UK citizens. Over 130 SPINE projects delivered over next decade

          2005

          Certified on BS 7799:2002 and on ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for Management of Information Security in Software Development and Software Maintenance projects

          MajescoMastek acquired Entegram LLC, a Connecticut-based software company

          2007

          MajescoMastek acquired Vector Insurance Services, a technology solutions provider and third-party administrator, focusing on the North American life and annuity insurance industry

          2008

          MajescoMastek acquired Systems Task Group (STG), an IP-based enterprise solutions provider to the North American property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry

          2009

          MajescoMastek entered the Canadian Market

          2010

          MajescoMastek acquired SEG Software, LLC, a provider of policy administration systems covering individual and group life, health and annuity insurance products

          2013

          Certified on ISO standards for Occupational Health and Safety: OHSAS 18000:2007 and the Environmental Management System standard: ISO 14001:2015

          2014

          MajescoMastek demerged from Mastek, consolidating all of its insurance business internationally under the new brand, Majesco

          2015

          Mastek acquired IndigoBlue, a UK-based consultancy firm specialising in Agile planning, delivery and governance

          2015

          Project Deep Blue launched as a Mastek initiative to encourage engineering students to solve social problems using coding skills

          2016

          Mastek acquired TAISTech, a US-based digital commerce company

          2016

          Corporate HQ moved from Mumbai to Reading, UK as part of the Vision2020 growth strategy

          2017

          Vision2020 delivers results with revenue up 46% YoY, headcount by >30% and shareholder return by >80%

          Multiple industry awards won: European Software Testing Award (Best Test Automation Award: Functional); two DevOps Industry Awards (Best Overall DevOps Project - Public Sector; DevOps Manager of the Year)

          Through the Mastek Foundation, founded in 2002, and initiatives it funds such as Project Deep Blue, we support the promotion of education, health and nutrition, the eradication of hunger, the championing of gender equality and the advancement of environmental sustainability.
