Transforming your University back office: How to create continuous improvement with London Metropolitan University and Durham University

A strong digital strategy, a forward looking vision, and a drive towards continuous improvement are central to tackling the challenges facing Universities. Globally, Mastek has worked with over fifty Higher Education institutions and have seen how many of them are finding new ways to deliver a better experience to their user community. We also believe it is important to bring thought leadership and build an HE community in the UK and globally. This event seeks to give Higher Education leaders a platform to share their experiences.

We welcome all Higher Education and Public Sector organisations to our thought leadership in-person event and discuss the overarching back-office transformation journey that now seems to be an industry norm rather than an exception. Is it actually necessary and worth the effort? And what are the goals, drivers, challenges and success factors that should be involved?

To get answers from first-hand users - we have invited Will Hopson Hill, Director for Digital and Transformation, from the London Metropolitan University (LMU) to share insights about LMU’s decision to digitalise and the key business readiness activities they undertook to be ready for the programme. Will is accompanied by Mr Modaser Choudhary, Finance Director, who will be talking about Durham University's experience with their technology-led Finance and Procurement solution and the lessons learned, having gone live in July 2023.
