Reduced annual total cost of ownership by $1.2M

Visionworks of America is a leading provider of eye care services with more than 700 optical retail stores in the U.S.

Their aim was to minimize technical debt incurred from their on-premise technology stack, enable their business team to respond faster to the marketplace, remove annual recurring costs, and simplify their commerce division staff and process.

We migrated their B2C Webstore from ATG to OCC via Mastek’s Migration Toolkit, simplified customer service by rewriting their internal ACMC (Agent Application) within Oracle Commerce Cloud’s Agent Console, and made UX improvements by shifting their existing responsive front-end UI from ATG to OCC. Visionworks was also able to leverage Commerce Cloud APIs for in-store endless aisle experiences.

Our work resulted in a $1.2 M savings on total cost of ownership annually and improved and consolidating Admin and Agent UI for business users.

In addition, we were able to solve some of the underlying technology issues, including security and scalability.
