The Home Office is the lead government department for immigration and passports, drugs policy, crime, counter-terrorism and police.
The Challenge
Selected Mastek to deliver two key processes, the Biometric Residence Permit and the Biometric Travel Document components of the core IPT Programme infrastructure which comprised:
- SSB (Shared Service Bus), a software component supporting communication between immigration and enforcement systems
- CDP (Common Data Platform), a single data platform addressing various data sharing needs of the Home Office and other government departments.
The Solution
- Mastek designed, built, tested and delivered the SSB and the CDP systems in line with the UK Government’s Digital Services (GDS) recommendations
- Focused on business outcomes by adopting IPT processes into Mastek’s proven Enterprise Agile approach.
The Outcome
Putnam’s migration was completed in just 60 days. With many Python based, self-service utilities set up; the data architecture team was able to support an acceleration in customer analytics processes and go-to-market plans.
