Challenges

  • DTU was an existing user of Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) with integration to a third-party payroll. 

  • Limited self-service functionality deployed to employees and managers, relying heavily on managers or local administrators at establishments raising forms on a separate document management system. 

  • Large volume of manual activity and duplication of data entry across all core HCM and recruitment processes. 

  • Lack of data visibility system to complete activities such as recruitment. 

We had a lot of customizations and that's what we wanted to get rid of by upgrading to the cloud.

Solution

Mastek designed a modern and efficient HCM solution to reduce the level of administration undertaken by the DTU's Central HR Team. It included:

We could see that Mastek was agile. They knew a lot of the Oracle solutions, not only the cloud solution but also the technology that was supporting the solution for integration and so on.

  • With the Oracle HCM Cloud Solution, HR administration activities were drastically reduced, allowing more time for advice and proactive support. 

  • Improved visibility of the recruitment lifecycle processes, and ultimately a quicker and more efficient hiring process. 

  • Empowered managers to make decisions, and take quick actions. 

  • Reduction in duplication of data entered, and information.

Mastek was very agile compared to competitors on stating how much could this cost on a very uncertain level from the beginning.
