One of the Largest Milk Producers in Australia Partners with Mastek to Scale its Growth with Oracle Cloud Applications

A global milk producer was looking to standardise their back-end process and have a single data source for receiving quick and accurate global information. They initially used an on-premise ERP system but in order to scale and grow their business, they needed to update to a modern cloud-based ERP system. With Evosys as their Oracle Cloud Implementation partner, they were able to move to an automated and integrated back-office process. It helped them close books faster and gain consistent information for faster decision-making.

About the Client

The client is an Australia-based global milk producer with operations and distributions in Australia, New Zealand, China and the United States. Their focused product is rich, natural milk and related products, one such being the infant formula. They work directly with the dairy farmers and have positioned themselves as a popular “dairy nutrition company”.

Problem

  • Since they were working on the on-premise ERP system, there were challenges related to scalability as they are expanding their business worldwide

  • They had increased regulatory reporting requirements and needed an integrated EPM tool to manage this process and enhance their planning and budgeting process

  • They were receiving data and information from multiple sources thereby making it hard to get insightful analysis across the group to make strategic decisions

Solution

  • Designed an end-to-end business cycle automation (such as requisition to PO) with the inclusion of multi-level approval

  • Evosys team developed reusable components that will help speed-up future process development and with shorter project timelines

  • A completely remote implementation approach was followed due to Covid-19 restrictions

Outcome

  • They now have a robust ERP application that seamlessly integrates with logistics, manages financials and acts as a primary source for reporting and analytics

  • Successfully automated key processes such as procurement, inventory, manufacturing and order management

  • With the implementation of a single sign-on, there was a significant increase in the overall user satisfaction
